Making Musicians Who Make a Better World
An exciting new initiative from Integral Steps
Welcome! Play It Forward is an exciting new initiative providing private music lesson scholarships for motivated young musicians. In exchange, they "play it forward" by volunteering their own time to help others.
Play It Forward is a win/win/win: students receive private lesson scholarships, the community receives dedicated volunteers, and donors see their contributions make double the difference.
Play It Forward is a win/win/win: students receive private lesson scholarships, the community receives dedicated volunteers, and donors see their contributions make double the difference.
HOW IT WORKS:
Generous individuals and businesses in the community donate funds to provide private lessons to dedicated young musicians with financial need.
|
Scholarship students study privately with highly qualified teachers. Their experience is identical to that of students who pay the teacher directly.
|
For every hour of lessons they receive, students "pay it forward" by donating an hour to a volunteer organization of their choice. Donors watch the impact of their contributions multiply.
|
MISSION STATEMENT:
To foster citizenship and social justice through music by empowering motivated young musicians, regardless of financial status, to earn private lessons through hour-for-hour volunteer work with local service organizations.
